Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Host Organization

Two Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellows will work on a Bay Area initiative that instills in law students the value of pro bono contributions. The AmeriCorps Legal Fellow will cultivate relationships and volunteer opportunities with legal aid programs, government agencies and court-based programs; build relationships with student groups, professors and school administrators to raise awareness of the importance of pro bono work; match students with projects commensurate with their interests and skills; conceive and plan on-campus presentations, ceremonies and other events; and perform evaluation surveys to ensure program effectiveness.

Qualifications
Law school graduate with:
- A demonstrated commitment to social justice and the mission of the Clearinghouse;
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills for some one-on-one counseling, group presentations, meeting facilitation, recruiting students and attorneys for pro bono partnerships; and
- Strong planning, administrative and organizational skills.
Supplemental Benefits
In addition to the standard Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps benefits, PIC will also provide:
