NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
FOR EQUAL JUSTICE WORKS LAW SCHOOL AWARDS
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Equal Justice Works is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding Law School Faculty or Staff Award and the Exemplary Public Service Award for a Student or Group.

Each year, Equal Justice Works recognizes the outstanding public interest contributions of a law school faculty or staff member dedicated to public interest law and the exemplary public service work of a law student or a law student group or project.

“Being part of a group that has been recognized by Equal Justice Works further encouraged me to dedicate my career to public interest law,” said Rebecca Greening, who accepted the 2008 Exemplary Public Service Award on behalf of Northeastern University School of Law’s Society for Restorative Justice.

Nominations may be self-appointed or coming from any person or group that knows the nominee well. This includes but is not limited to: deans; law school career services and public interest counselors; advisors, faculty, clinical professors, students, student groups and extern/intern supervisors. Completed nominations are due no later than July 2, 2009, at 5 p.m. EDT. Application information and instructions are available online at http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/about/awards/criteria.

The 2009 awards will be presented at the Equal Justice Works Awards Luncheon in Washington, D.C., on October 24, and at the Equal Justice Works Awards Dinner on October 29. For a list of previous winners, visit http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/about/awards.
